for everyone

Istana Woodneuk is located deep inside the forests off Tyersall Ave, formerly the biggest private estate in Singapore, and the second largest, after only the Istana.

Woodneuk is a 2 storey mansion with annex block. Built in the 1930s, it was abandoned by the last caretaker in the late 1980s.

It is said that it belongs to the Johor Royal family and the land still belongs to Malaysia government. Some people claimed that it is haunted..

Very interesting subject. If you have time, it would be interesting to know why you choose this place

Usually people miss the beauty in unmaintained property or an abandoned building such as the one you shot. However, I alway can see beyond, the whole concept of the natural process of nature taking over be it with vines growing on the face of a building or the moss growing on the brick or even the beauty in some flowers and texture in weeds. They all capture a moment in time and leave to the imagination what happened or just WoW. When I look at some of the shots you took I just wondered what was your creative thought process, or was it the passion and emotion that allowed you to choose such good work. Sorry, so long, but as a designer I can go on about the expression and emotions tied to a design that I create and I really wanted to see how another artist felt.
