[Kelly] I never thought that we would break up for the better Should've never made the promises to each other So many things I should've said that you didn't know Coming in from a past with a heavy load
But I knew that you were a good man Give me love, you were faithful - It showed on my hand I know there are questions in your mind you don't understand Through the words of this song, I wanna answer them
Honesty (Check) Conversation (Check) A shoulder I can lean on anytime I'm feeling stressed (Check) Good loving (Yes) The perfect soldier (Yes) Was about to say "I do," when I know it wasn't meant So I
[1] - Search in my mind, trying to figure it out And thought I was happy but I'm having some doubts Think I found the answer and I know I must confess I'm still in love with my ex And I wasn't ready when I said that I loved you And in my heart, I know that I gotta tell you I shouldn't have gone from a situation to the next I'm still in love with my ex
[Kelly] Every moment that I stayed, I dug a deeper hole I was with you but my heart wouldn't let him go All my family told me, "Kelly he's the one for you" I know your family love me and I love them too
(I'm so sorry) I'm so sorry for the pain I put you through But you shouldn't have to suffer cause I'm confused So much for looking forward to future plans Lost the love of my life and I lost a friend
Good to me (Yes) Security (Yes) You were all the things I wanted Checking everything (Check, check) You were comforting (Yes) Romantic man (Yes) How could I have said "I do," when I knew it wasn't meant So I
[Repeat 1]
[Kelly (Yung Texxus)] Silence (I don't know why you're telling me all this now) I've gotta own this I've gotta own this game (Yeah, I ain't the one you chose) I can't believe I'm saying this.. Saying sorry is the hardest part (Yeah.. aye, it's Yung Texxus)
[Yung Texxus] From make-up's to break-up's His and her Jacob's Mi amore got issues galore, sure We was all good-good, and it was all good-good Now I'm reading old love letters (Damn) My homies looking at me like, "You know better" But I'm reminiscing so I had to consider Did she go hard for me? (Yes) Take a charge for me? (Yes) Turn her head when them other hoes was callin' me? (Yes) I can't lie, when she left she took a part of me Part of me want her back but part of me can't pardon she (Nope) Call it foolish pride but shit, who am I? I made my mistakes, tossed my dirt to the side Er'time we meet I see the hurt in her eyes Cause I'm an ex-friend, ex-homey, ex-lover So stop the phone calls, voicemails, etc. Shawty keep the ring, forget the day I ever met ya
A paranormal thriller that keeps you breathless from the beginning to the end. A love story that happens once in a lifetime and that lasts forever.
GHOST SON is about a married couple, Stacey and Mark (Harring and John Hannah, respectively), who are deeply in love and living on Mark’s farm in South Africa. They enjoy many a passionate night together but, this being a Bava film, we know that this bliss will be short-lived. Rather than work with her friend and colleague Elizabeth (Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni), Stacey decides to remain on Mark’s farm and work with him. They have some friends, Bongani and Leleti, who seem to believe in other-worldly spirits, and Thandi is their teenage maid.
When Mark leaves for work in his truck, he suffers an accident and manages to call Stacey on his radio. Frantic, she rushes to his aid, shocked to see him pinned under the vehicle. Although she manages to raise the truck with a jack, Mark succumbs to internal injuries and dies. Devastated, Stacey returns to the farm and decides to remain there since she feels close to Mark. As the days pass, she is reminded of her past experiences with Mark. His funeral is especially painful, as she recalls Mark telling her doctor that he was marrying Stacey.
Mark begins to appear to her, asking her if she can live without him. He’s persuading her to commit suicide so that they can be together in the afterlife. After a reluctant suicide attempt in the bathtub from which she is saved by her doctor, she realizes her weakness and vows not to try again. When her doctor asks her how she’s been, she realizes that she’s been late with her menstrual cycle. It occurs to her that she is carrying Mark’s baby. After a complicated and painful delivery, it becomes obvious that Stacey’s infant son is possessed by Mark’s spirit. While breast feeding, the infant practically bites off Stacey’s nipple, although he has no teeth. Stacey pleads with others that something is wrong with her son, but her cries for help go largely unheeded. As the days progress, the baby seems to be trying to kill her to bring her to Mark so they can spend eternity together.
Bava pays tribute to William Friedkin when Stacey brings her son up to her face and he inexplicably vomits violently all over her. The scene is more comical than scary.
After the evil forces at work kill Thandi, Stacey is face to face with Mark, and she renounces him, choosing to remain and raise their son who, once Mark is banished, grows up to be a normal child.
Welcome to Magma German Wine Bistro. Magma provides you with an authentic touch of Germany: German cuisine, wine, beer and other drinks and German music and culture.
Our cuisine offers a broad range of regional German dishes. Beside the familiar pork knuckles and sausages there are many unknown, but delicious dishes and exquisite desserts. Do not hesitate to ask, if you cannot find your favorite on the menu. The well experienced chef Robert Leistner and his young assistants have an open ear for your wishes!
Our wines come from all 13 wine regions of Germany. We provide you with the best of each region and represent 28 wineries almost exclusively in Asia. Beside the famous Riesling (more than 90 labels) we offer a broad range of white and red wines. The red and the white interior of Magma Bistro stands for the colors of the wine, but is also a contribution to Singapore. If you are unsure where to start your exploration of German wines, please ask for our advice. We will try to help you to find the right wine for your personal taste. Also, we frequently offer wine tastings were you can learn about the grape varieties, the wine regions and the wineries. If you are not a wine lover (yet), we also offer a choice of eleven German beers, organic juices, excellent coffee and tea and other beverages.
You may be surprised to find a German restaurant in an old Chinese shophouse. This house belongs to the Siong Leng Musical Association, as you can read on the board at the entrance (unless you can read Chinese). Magma opened here in August 2006. We kept the structure of the building and even removed the false ceiling, so that the spirit of old Chinatown merge with the goodness of our new bistro. Due to our open kitchen concept you can watch how your food is freshly prepared for you.
We hope you enjoy your stay at Magma and like your food and drinks! Guten Appetit (enjoy your meal) and Prost (cheers)!

For my sis - Heidea. She’s been tipped as the next Whitney Houston, or to quote one music executive “listening to her sing is like hearing the love child of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey”...
When Leona Lewis won the X Factor last year we all waited with baited breath to see just what the Londoner could produce. Now 12 months later and suffering from a severe lack of oxygen to the brain we’re finally going to hear Leona in all her glory when she releases her second single ‘Bleeding Love’ on the 29th October.
It must be some song! It took her a full year to get it right. Leona will be the first guest act on the X Factor this Saturday where she’ll sing live to almost 10 million viewers in a bid to promote the song everyone has been waiting to hear. The moment of truth if you like, where the stage that made her could just as easily break her. No pressure whatsoever!
We voted for her in our millions, sacrificed many a Saturday night to clap like crazed lunatics as she sang for survival and waited something like 294 days, 10 hours, 29 minutes and 34 seconds so far. If you’ll pardon the pun, it better be bleedin’ good love!
BLEEDING LOVE
Closed off from love I didn’t need the pain Once or twice was enough And it was all in vain Time starts to pass Before you know it you’re frozen
But something happened For the very first time with you My heart melts into the ground Found something true And everyone’s looking round Thinking I’m going crazy
But I don’t care what they say I’m in love with you They try to pull me away But they don’t know the truth My heart’s crippled by the vein That I keep on closing You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love I keep bleeding I keep, keep bleeding love Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love You cut me open
Trying hard not to hear But they talk so loud Their piercing sounds fill my ears Try to fill me with doubt Yet I know that the goal Is to keep me from falling
But nothing’s greater Than the rush that comes with your embrace And in this world of loneliness I see your face Yet everyone around me Thinks that I’m going crazy, maybe, maybe
But I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you They try to pull me away But they don’t know the truth My heart’s crippled by the vein That I keep on closing You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love I keep bleeding I keep, keep bleeding love Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love You cut me open
And it’s draining all of me Oh they find it hard to believe I’ll be wearing these scars For everyone to see
I don’t care what they say I’m in love with you They try to pull me away But they don’t know the truth My heart’s crippled by the vein That I keep on closing You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love I keep bleeding I keep, keep bleeding love Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love I keep bleeding I keep, keep bleeding love Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love You cut me open and I Keep bleeding Keep, keep bleeding love
After the renovations, Aston has become slightly bigger and most importantly, cooler! The temperature inside is always a big minus for the dining.
Their options for us to choose two side dishes for each main dish is applaudable since I normally hate whipped potatoes! Try their garden veggies! Beside the steaks, I think their fish n chips are not bad and their lamb chops are great! Unfortunately, I think their chicken dishes are not really to my satisfaction.
I greatly hope that people will stop thronging the place so that I dun need to queue so long just to get a place inside! But i dun think my hopes will be easily fufilled.
The buzz: The new and improved Aston Specialties sees hungry hordes at its door each lunch and dinner time. If you’re lucky to nab a seat, you’ll find the wait for your food slightly longer than at most coffeeshops or hawker centres. But you’re likely to forgive that fact when you sink your teeth into Astons' fare. The menu features the usual suspects - steaks, chicken, fish, pork chop, ribs and burgers - but regulars swear by the joint’s beef dishes. The Rib Eye Steak, priced at SGD 14.50, is a thick, succulent slab of perfectly grilled beef - better than those served at many steak houses. The Aston ieatSuperburger - 200g of chopped sirloin with bacon, cheese, tomato, onions and fried egg in a sesame bun - is a steal at only SGD 12.50.
Check out: For carnivores who wonder what the deal is with Wagyu, Astons' Wagyu Ribeye, added to the menu only in October, lets you finally answer that question without burning a hole in your pocket. At SGD 38.50, the 200g Wagyu Ribeye, with two side dishes, is great value for money. Just remember you have to order it three days in advance.
Opening hours: 12 noon to 1am (Tuesday to Thursday); 12 noon to 3am (Friday to Saturday); 12 noon to 1am (Sunday)
This is the Katong outlet and restaurant of Glory Catering which makes a wide range of traditional confections, kuehs, and festive snacks. The shop is a mini-restaurant (air-con) where you can savour nasi padang and curries. The front of the shop displays and sells a wide range of fresh kuehs, agar-agar (seaweed jelly), glutinous rice dumplings (bak chang) and packaged festive cookies and snacks (peanut biscuits, pineapple tarts, egg rolls and tarts etc). All the food is halal including the bakchang, so you only get chicken meat in the meat version of the dumplings.
We have been following Warung Nasir when they first started in Liang Seah Street, to Recreation Club and now finally at Killiney Road. Interior is stylish with a very retro touch. I love those marble tables and kampung days paraphernalia lined discreetly along the shelves. I also get nostalgic whenever I eat there, like those quaint coffee shops in Malacca. And they play jazz music too.
Here, they serve the perennial favourites like beef rendang, curry ayam, sayur lodeh, ayam goreng, bergedel, tauhu telur, sambal goreng, just to name a handful. The sotong hitam is often sold out fast. We also love the daun ubi kayu masak lemak, dengdeng, terung or telur berlado, ikan pedas, achar, paru, sup buntot. Problem is everything is so good that you have to exercise great restraint not to put too much on your plate. Better still and much more fun, go in a group and do a share-share, lessening the risk of having to suffer an over-extended tummy. Food standard and flavour is consistently good, so far never had a bad meal. Price, is somewhat mid-range. Depending on what you pick, you can have a simple meal for as low as $3-5 or pile it up and pay more than $10.
Nasir, the handsome & very affable towkay, did a Nasi Tumpang (that is Indonesian, but here, we call it Nasi Ambeng). This is a cone shaped pile of kunyit rice with all the delicious goodies surrounding it. It was very ethnic and everybody enjoyed it immensely.
For those who likes a light snack or dessert, they have a bubur hitam, kueh-kueh and cookies. I hope that someday they they will add more Indonesian style dessert like pengat and bubur terigu (or maybe they did). That reminds me, they used to have Kueh Lopes at Liang Seah Str, whatever happened to them?

Halia – Malay for ginger – is located in the 1-ha Ginger Garden of the Singapore Botanic Gardens where over 250 species of gingers with their stunning foliage and colourful flowers thrive.
The construction of Halia was carried out simultaneously with the development of the Ginger Garden. Careful consideration was given to the special park setting, such that architecture conformed to the contours of the land, the dignity of mature trees and the preservation of heritage.
The result is an unobtrusive dining room with full height glass windows, beckoning the greenery indoors, and allowing guests to dine in the Garden whilst still comfortably ensconced in cool surroundings. Decades-old majestic palm trees stand like sentries, guardian-witness to the earthy beauty that is the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
In the heat of the day, guests take refuge in the coolness of Halia’s air-conditioned dining room whilst still enjoying views of the Garden through its full-height glass windows.
Extending from the dining room, a sheltered wooden deck enables sun-worshippers to bask in the sultry warmth whilst enjoying an al-fresco meal.
Come nightfall, Halia is transformed into an intimate and special place, lit only by discreet lamps, candles and the moonlight. A perfect place for a romantic evening, or a gathering of special friends or business associates, guests are surrounded by the tranquility of the Garden and the beauty of the night.

Big Ben's Bakery claims to serve authentic British pies. According to Ben, the chef and owner, his recipes are originally from a British lady who shared her recipes with Ben's father-in-law. To us, whether it's authentic or not, what matters most is taste!
The lowdown:
The pies are made of short crust pastry which are welcomed by those who like local curry puffs but disappoint those who prefers puff pastry for their pies. Big Ben's pastry is light and pretty thin in texture, so you don't get a floury aftertaste when you bite into its pies. As short crust pastry is a little drier, we prefer fillings that are slightly more moist to give a balanced taste in our mouths. There are about 10 different varieties and we have a few favourites.
Top on our list is the steak and mushroom. Tasty with a little gravy, the tender beef pieces are mixed with vegetables and sizable mushroom slices. Some of our makanmatas who have stronger taste buds like the steak and kidney and the Irish lamb stew. Both fillings are delicious and not very salty but the kidney and the lamb have strong a smell and the taste is really pungent. You have to acquire a taste for these, otherwise, skip them.
Besides the savoury ones, you can try the apple and pineapple pies. The apple pie has a light cinnamon touch while the pineapple is a tad too generous with sugar.
In general, the pies are light in texture and easy to eat. Most pies cost between $2.50 to $3 but you can order huge ones for about $10 to $12.
